Discover more about the four Worthy Causes you will visit on the tour.
Filled with immersive experiences, cultural encounters, and impactful visits to Worthy Causes.
The Khmer people are modest and dress conservatively. When visiting pagodas and temples, revealing clothes must not be worn—bare shoulders and knees will be viewed as disrespectful. It is advisable to carry a sarong (scarf) to wrap around your shorts or to cover your shoulders.
Tipping is not customary in Cambodian culture, so it is not necessarily expected in bars and restaurants. Tips are, however, very gratefully received. With the average Cambodian wage still very low, tips from tourists can make a real difference, so we do suggest to honor good service. Our guests typically reward our guides with USD 5 - 15 per person per day, while drivers usually receive USD 3 - 5 per person per day.
Riel is the currency of Cambodia but US dollars are widely used and most prices will be in US dollars. When receiving change from a dollar, the cents will be returned to you in riel. Note that even slightly torn US dollar bills will not be accepted. Visa & MasterCard are accepted in most hotels and some restaurants. ATM’s are very common in every city and town. Please note that Cambodian riel are not convertible outside of Cambodia.
For expert advice consult your doctor or travel clinic. No vaccinations are mandatory, but some are recommended. Malaria is quite rare in Cambodia, and mostly in remote areas near the Thai and Vietnamese borders. We recommend to only drink bottled water as tap water is not safe enough for ingestion. There are numerous pharmacies where treatments for common traveler’s ailments are readily found.
Cambodia is a tropical country bathed in almost year-round sunshine with a high average temperature, so bring sun protection. There are two distinct seasons, dry and rainy. Between June and October it may rain every other afternoon but rarely in the morning. Dry season runs from November to April, with October to January being the coolest (relatively speaking!) time of year.

Contributions to various projects during the tour will be facilitated by our Worthy Cause organizations carefully. If you wish to make extra contributions, you are very welcome to enquire with the B1G1 Team first so that we can find the most effective and empowering way to direct your gifts.
We will be releasing fully detailed information later about the entire itinerary of the tour. For now, you can have a look at B1G1 Projects by This Life Cambodia, Sala Bai, Phare Ponleu Selpak, Trailblazer Foundation, and Child's Dream to get a sense of the experience to come!
The participants come from a wide range of B1G1 Businesses. It's a great opportunity to connect with like-minded people from around the world.
As there are a limited number of tickets available for pre-registration (for both adult and youth tickets), the booking page will only allow you to select as many tickets as are still available. If you would like to add any additional guests to the waitlist, please contact us at team@b1g1.com.
Our overseas study tour with B1G1 is designed to be inclusive and accessible. However, there are a few activities that may involve some physical exertion, such as bicycle riding and playground building, so a basic level of fitness is recommended.
Since there are many people who are interested in this tour, we require all registrants to make a deposit to secure their seats, before converting their deposit into a fully paid ticket. Instalment payment options for the remaining fees can be arranged if required.
It covers all your meals, local transportation, accommodation for 5 nights (double/twin share), all the tour activities and special giving to the projects we are visiting. The fee does not include the international flights for you to get to Siem Reap, alcohol consumption and single room surcharge.
Family members of B1G1 Members and Partners are welcome to join us on the tour. However, the minimum age requirement is 13 years old because the B1G1 Study Tour schedule contains activities that may not always be suitable for younger children.
To allow as many B1G1 companies to participate as possible, each company can pre-register for a maximum of 4 tickets. If you would like to enquire about opportunities to register a larger group, please contact us at team@b1g1.com.
